Like lightening in a bottle, music history was made in 1968 when Jimi
Hendrix played the Filmore. He strode onstage and played his guitar
wearing a peacock feather vest, and for generations to come that image
of the master is indelible. Today, that vest is suspended in glass and
lords over the inhabitants of the Peacock Lounge, the Hard Rock Casino
high stakes room for the gaming elite. Discreetly located off the main
casino floor, it is a place of triple digit limits, rich woods and
leather seats that immediately declare this is not the place to play if
you still do your own taxes! |

Reminiscent of an era
when Las Vegas was defined by people who expected only the finest steaks
and smoothest martinis; AJ’s brings is all back in spades. The interior
is beautifully appointed with vintage west coast flair complete with a
bar that is nothing short of coolly defined. Thanks to the live piano
playing old jazz standards in the background, you’ll feel like you are
back in a time when people used to dress up to play slots.
Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 –
Just like the casino
the newly relaunched Mr. Lucky’s 24/7 is open all of the time for the
best comfort food in Vegas. Whether you need to get through a day of
shopping, recover from a night of partying or just sit back and indulge
in some people watching, Mr Lucky’s 24/7 is the place to be.
Nobu
– Upping the ante on combining style and cuisine, NOBU arrives at the
Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. This international culinary original has
distinguished itself by serving modern Japanese cuisine and
trend-setting house specialties to the status elite of New York, London
and Tokyo. This is where the best hands create the best sushi from
fresh fish flown in from the coast daily.
Pink
Taco
– You know it’s going to be a good time when Mexican food
was made by your best friends abuelita, the wine list is replaced by
tequila list and there are more varieties of cervezas and margaritas
then there are taxis in Tijuana. The Pink Taco brings the best of
traditional Mexican fare to the Hard Rock complete with weekday happy
hour beer and margarita especiales. |

The Joint - The Joint is the city's most versatile showroom, and since
opening in 1994, it has acquired a reputation as the classiest rock 'n' roll
venue in Las Vegas. Playing The Joint has become a status symbol for both
classic and modern rock bands, from Blur to the Rolling Stones. Depending on
who's headlining, the room converts from a standard concert hall with folding
chairs and small round tables to an open floor for dancing and even moshing. The
acoustics are superb, equally pristine for the hard-rocking thump of Danzig or
the quiet bluegrass fiddle of Alison Krauss. But when The Joint is jumping, it's
the best place in town.
Body English - The two-level club, designed by celebrated L.A. interior
decorator Kelly Wearstler, oozes rock-star chic, from its opulent
Baccarat-crystal chandeliers to its black, mirrored walls. Finding your way in
will make you feel A-list as well; the secluded club is only accessible from a
winding staircase that makes its way beneath The Joint. Body English also
employs some of Vegas' best DJs, including DJ Dig Dug, a house favorite since
the club was known as Baby's in a previous carnation. He's known for his
selection of funky, dark and progressive break beats that'll keep you on your
feet all night long.
